Update- Trip to Vandy

We will be going to Vandy on April 5th. At this appointment they will do an Echo on that Wednesday and they will take Andy in to perform a heart cath on thursday. We have been told to prepare to stay a few days for recovery.

Specifics to pray for:

1. That Andy's pressures would be normal or close to normal to begin the weaning process off Flolan and on to an oral drug. Wisdom for the Dr's and us to decide on what oral drug to take if this is an option.

2. That Andy would respond well during this procedure. Anytime you have a child with PH having a heart Cath is a risk.

3. That we would trust the Lord through out this process and not be anxious. It is always very difficult to return to Vandy. We realise that the Lord could choose to take Andy at anytime. We want to trust the Lord for Andy's future and always have an open hand. Yet believe the Lord for a continual miracle with Andy's heart.

4. The Lord would guide the Dr's during surgery (Dr. Moore) and give them wisdom concerning Andy's medicine.

Thank you for continuing to walk with us through this trial. We are so thankful for our family and friends for all the time you have commited to praying for Andy and us. We love you!!!

Dave & Krista, God's grace was sufficient in past trials, and He will sustain you through the future. Go in peace and fear not, for the Lord your God goes with you! I know it is a challenge not to think of the "what ifs," but the truth is that we all live a very fragile life, and every breath we breathe is because of our Sovereign God's will. You are experiencing that fragility and so you love your child with an acute awareness of how precious each day with him is -- would that all parents love their children as you do!
We aren't promised a long life here on earth, but because of our Savior we have the promise of eternal life, and it is to that hope that we must continually gaze!! Yet, we are given the great priviilege to lift up Andy before the throne of grace and ask for healing, knowing that God is more than able to do this! So, I will be praying for you, that our Father will pour out His grace at Vandy, and that He will be glorified through your testimony.
Almost 13 years ago, I stood outside and watched Michael leave on a helicopter for a hospital three hours away. "Lord," I whispered,"he's in Your hands now." The Lord replied, "Aren't they all?" Yes, Lord we are indeed all in Your hands, and I wouldn't have it any other way. You alone are faithful.
