Andy Update

We went to Vandy on Friday and overall it was pretty uneventful...Praise God!! Basically things are about the same with Andy. We are going to continue to turn his medicine up to meet his weight. We may even turn it up a little more due to a slight increase in pressure over the past year. We appreciate Dr. Moore and Mary Beth so much and we really value there wisdom. Dave and I have to constantly remind ourselves that the Lord is the Author of life and death and although we are encouraged by how well Andy's medicine is working it is the LORD who is working on Andy's behalf through the medicine. We are so thankful for every day we have with Andy. Thanks for praying continuously for Andy.

I just wanted to give you a quick update on Andy. The following are some of Andy's words

He is saying so much. We are just figuring out what some of it is. It is so much fun to hear him talk. He says some of the funniest things. He is very witty. He is so much fun to be with and laugh with. The boys are getting along so well. Andy for the most part is so kind and sweet to Alex. If he isn't around Andy wants to know where he is. Every morning when he gets up he asks for him.

We are going to Vandy on friday for an Echo. Please pray for Andy. His pressures have gone up slightly. Please pray that Dave and I will trust the Lord and His goodness reguardless of the report. We love Andy so much so it is very difficult to trust the Lord when the news is not what we want to hear. But we know that the Lord is good and soveriegn in the midst of Andy's check up. Our hope is in the Lord.

Ok, so it has been a long time since we have posted.....We have been very busy. In the last month or so we sold our house, bought a house, moved to an apartment for three months and most important....celebrated Andy's 2nd birthday!!! What a sweet time, Andy's second birthday party. Isn't God good! He had the time of his life. He was up until 11pm at night playing with his buddies and ran sacking his bedroom. When we finally put him to bed he cried because his buddies left (Austin, Jackson and Preston).

Dave got free passes to Dollywood from a friend at work. We had a good time. It was so funny to watch Andy on the rides. He is so serious about new things. So we THINK he had a good time. The other picture is of ALL the boys playing in the pool in the FRONT yard and Dave teaching Andy to golf (cute).

Dave and Andy headed out one evening after work to try out the sprinkler. Andy was very hesitant to run under it. With a little encouragement from daddy and a hand to hold he finally ran under the sprinkler. They had a blast. Meanwhile, Alex (we refer to him as Tub a Lub) fell asleep thinking about "Birds"

Things are going well here at the Sagraves home. Andy is learning new words everyday. Our favorite is love you "wruv ru." Alex rolled over for the first time last week. Andy is very kind to Alex. If Alex is crying he will put his paci "pa ee" in his mouth and shake his feet. Alex is watching Andy play now. It keeps him occupied because Andy is very active.

We will be going back to Vandy in June for an echo. Please pray that there would be an improvement in andy's pressures so that he could be weaned off his medicine within the next year or so. Andy doesn't know life without his backpack. It doesn't seem to bother him a bit. However, we would love for him to be backpack free. We often go back and read through the blog to remind ourselves of all the Lord has done. We are thankful that we get to enjoy our sweet boy and watch him grow. He is so funny and always makes us laugh. He is a blessing. We are thankful for him and his backpack:)

On a side note Alex went for an echo to verify that he didn't have PH also. In checking him they found a small defect in his heart. We are going back in August to get him rechecked. Our cardiologist assured us that his defect will most likely never cause him any problems. We were very thankful to hear that. Our prayer is that he will grow out of this small defect called heart block.

Every time I pray for the Lord to heal there hearts I pray that the Lord would change there heart. There greatest need is not for a healthy heart but for the Lord to change them. They need a Savior.

Dave and I love our family. We love hanging out with eachother and we love hanging out with our boys. Every time I think about Dave and the boys I thank God for such a wonderful husband and children.
